Q: How do I get a CRE Secure profile setup?

A:Under the ‘Get Started’ toolbar at the top of the website, simply click the ‘Create New Account’ link and you will be presented with a short form to fill out. Once completed, you will have a working account that will transactions to be run almost immediately.
Q: Can you help me fill out my profile for CRE Secure?

A: We have created a support page to walk you through the profile creation process. If you are having any trouble or questions during the profile creation process, please feel free to contact our support department by either Live Chat or E-Mail.
Q: I am having a problem setting up a payment page in my shopping cart, can CRE Secure help me?
A: In the Hosted Payment Page(HPP) integration guide [Download], we provide a Merchant Payment Template Page, which can be found on page 14. Unfortunately, we do not assist with building custom pages on a customers website.
Q: When I log in to the website, why do I see,’ Your Profile Status is Pending’?
A: The account status of ‘Pending’ means that your profile is not fully configured. Once you have entered relevant data in all fields of the gateway and connection information sections, your profile will automatically be set to ‘Active’ and you can then start running transactions.
Q: On my CRE Secure profile, in the box that asks for authorized websites, what do I put in that box? Can I input multiple domains?
A: Authorized websites field is where you enter your domain/website that will be accepting and processing credit cards. Yes, you may enter multiple domains/websites.
Q: How do I setup my gateway in my profile ?
A: Under the ‘Gateway Information’ tab of your account, you will be presented with a drop down menu listing all of the gateway providers that we integrate with. Simply choose your provider and the required information fields will display for that specific gateway. In order to get your gateway setup properly, you will need to fill out these fields with information provided from your gateway. These bits of information can include a username & password, API tokens, Merchant ID, etc

Q: Will your product work without an SSL certificate?
A: No. The merchant website needs SSL encryption in order to post to our service, as well as have the merchant website’s custom style sheets (CSS) incorporated into the HPF/HPP.
Q: I am using CRE Secure and see "preparing (CRE Secure)" as an order status, what does that mean ?
A: The “preparing (CRE Secure)" status means that someone has attempted to place an order with your site, but the transaction did not complete.

Q: Is CRE Secure a validated PCI compliant payment application?
A: CRE Secure is validated to be Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI-DSS) compliant. CRE Secure is a service provider with a single, outsourced payment platform that our customers use to capture, transmit and store cardholder data. As we capture, process and store cardholder data, we as a company are subject to PCI-DSS. CRE Secure is validated by Visa to be in compliance with PCI-DSS regulations. Q: Is CRE Secure a payment gateway?
A: No. CRE Secure is a secure application that transmits data from your website to the payment gateway.
Q: My hosting company says they're PCI Compliant, so why do I need CRE Secure?
A: While your hosting company may be PCI Compliant it doesn't mean your store and/or shopping cart software is. Find out what your hosting company means when they say they are PCI Compliant. What are they doing to make sure YOU as the store merchant are PCI Compliant?
